Student Health Insurance Plan Information
Under the current Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), Massage Therapy is a covered benefit under the Physiotherapy section. This section provides coverage for Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy and Acupuncture.
IMPORTANT: Listed below are SHIP requirements that must be met before Massage Therapy services can be provided.
1. A prescription from your Physician stating a specific medical diagnosis is required.
2. The prescription must clearly state Massage Therapy, NOT Physical Therapy.
3. The prescription must also indicate a frequency and duration.
4. The prescription must be presented to Vandal Massage or Gritman Massage Therapy, AND benefits verified before services can be provided.
5. If you would like us to bill SHIP, you will not be able to schedule your appointment through our online scheduler. Please contact our Vandal Massage Therapists listed below:
